Open Your Heart To A Senior Pet

Posted on

We adore our senior dogs which is why we love that November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month! If you’ve been thinking about adding a four-legged-friend to your family, consider opening your home and your heart to an older homeless dog

Don’t get us wrong, puppies are adorable, and younger dogs are active and playful, but older pets are just as loving and loyal as their younger counterparts. They are often still just as spunky as they were when they were young pups!

Not to mention, adopting a senior animal companion comes with some cool advantages:

  • Grown-up dogs often don’t require the constant monitoring and training that puppies do.
  • Many already know the rules to living in a home.
  • Since senior pets are fully grown, you’ll be immediately aware of important information like activity level, personality type and grooming requirements, making it easier to choose a dog that is the best fit for your family.

When you adopt a senior pet, you’re not only welcoming a lifetime of love into your home, you’re also giving that dog a safe place to live out their golden years.

If you’re feeling drawn to bring home an older pet, consider one of these sweet pups and to sweeten the deal even more from November 14th-30th our senior dogs (7 years and older) have a reduced adoption fee of $5 plus a license.
