How to Donate

Thank you for your interest in making a donation to the Lucas County Canine Care & Control!

Your donation, large or small, is gratefully accepted to help care for dogs at LC4, to help increase adoptions, enrich the dogs’ lives while at the shelter and to ensure public safety.

All donations are tax-deductable to the full extent of the law.

Wish List

We need your help! Please look over our Wish List 2023 and consider donating any of the listed items to help make a difference to the dogs! In-kind donations are tax-deductible and can be dropped off at our shelter.

Another option is to purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and have them shipped directly to us.

Monetary Donations

Gifts can be made online to Cutie’s Fund which is a dedicated donation account for emergency medical care of dogs in our custody. General monetary donations are also always accepted to assist with the care of the dogs. These can be made by mail or in person.

Sponsor a Dog

We accept donations as partial or complete adoptable dog sponsorships (up to $100 per dog). This is a great way to help a particular dog if you cannot take him home yourself! For example, you donate $100 to sponsor “Fido”. A family then comes in and falls in love with Fido and all they have to pay to take him home is the dog license fee. You can choose what dog you’d like to sponsor or let us choose a deserving dog for you.

Employee Matching

You may be able to Double Your Gift! Have your money go twice as far by getting a match from your company! You can help the animals by finding out if your company has a Corporate Giving Program or Foundation. Many companies match funds for volunteer hours or their employee donations.

You can find out if your company has an Employee Matching Program by asking your company’s Human Resources Department as they should be able to provide you with the right form or information if the program exists.
