Nearly 10 million pets go missing each year. In 2023, LC4 cared for around 2,700 stray dogs. Most of those dogs are lost. Of those, only 863 were claimed by their families. Of the 1,800+ dogs who didn’t get back to their families, very few came in with microchips.

• If your dog is lost, a microchip can give the finder your contact information so your dog can be safely returned to you.
• Microchip your dog! We don’t want them here in our stressful shelter if they could be home cuddling with you!
