Canine Care & Control is offering an adoption special through November 30th.
TOLEDO, OH – Lucas County Canine Care & Control is hosting an adoption special from Sunday, November 20, through Wednesday, November 30.
The fee for dogs and puppies adopted from Canine Care & Control is being waived with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots or $15 without the donation of a toy. The adoption fee includes having your new dog spayed or neutered, initial vaccinations, registered microchip, heartworm testing and prevention, and parasite treatment if needed. The adoption of any dog from the shelter also requires the purchase of a $25 Lucas County 2023 dog license.
As of today, more than 75 dogs and puppies are searching for new homes at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Center, 410 S. Erie St., with more dogs going up for adoption each day.
All dogs looking for a home can be viewed online at www.lucascountydogs.com/adoption/ or on the Canine Care & Control Facebook page.
Canine Care & Control has many dogs who are looking for their forever family. If you have a resident dog and are looking to adopt another dog, please be sure to bring your resident dog for a meet and greet. Furthermore, we strongly encourage families to bring in their children to the shelter to meet their new pet.
Lucas County Canine Care & Control is always looking for donations of old towels, blankets, treats and toys, and anyone interested in becoming a volunteer is invited to visit the shelter and complete an application. Monetary donations can be made to Cutie’s Fund to help pay the costs for the medical needs of the dogs who come into the shelter.
