2nd Annual Run for Rescues

Posted on

Join us for the 2nd annual Run for Rescues on September 11th.

The Friends of Lucas County Dogs (FoLCD) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit with a mission to support the dogs and staff of Lucas County Canine Care and Control (LC4).  Their 5k run/walk will celebrate the dogs of Lucas County and help the organization perform tasks, such as continue to purchase critical medical equipment for the shelter allowing the dogs in their care to become adoptable at the earliest possible date, provide the dogs with enrichment during their stay at the shelter, and fundraise for other meaningful purchases.

By participating, YOU will help them (and us!) continue to fulfill our mission and make a difference in the lives of the dogs at LC4!  The entry fee of $35 includes an awesome custom t-shirt (featuring a brand new design this year) and race medal!  BUT, WAIT…THERE’S MORE!  We are excited to announce the first 30 canine participants will receive a bandana, which features this year’s t-shirt design!

Your friendly, leashed canine running/walking buddy is welcome to join you for the event!  However, to promote the safety of participants and other dogs, retractable leashes are not permitted.
