23 & You Adoption Special

Posted on

To celebrate the new year and welcome 2023, Lucas County Canine Care & Control is offering an adoption special of $23 and the chance to win a dog DNA test kit.

Now through Tuesday, January 31, the fee to adopt dogs and puppies from LC4 is being reduced to $23. The adoption fee includes having your new dog spayed or neutered, initial vaccinations, registered microchip, heartworm testing and prevention, and parasite treatment if needed.

The adoption of any dog from the shelter also requires the purchase of a $25 Lucas County 2023 dog license. Families who adopt a dog during the 23 day adoption special will be entered in a raffle to win a doggy DNA test.

As of today, more than 75 dogs and puppies are searching for new homes at the LC4 Canine Care Center, 410 S. Erie St., with more dogs going up for adoption each day.
Please visit http://www.lucascountydogs.com/adoption/ to view all dogs ready for a home or go to Lucas County Canine Care & Control on Facebook.

LC4 has many dogs looking for their forever family. If you already have a dog and have room in your heart and your life for another, please be sure to bring your resident dog for a meet and greet. We strongly encourage families to bring their children to the Canine Care Center to meet their new pet.

LC4 always accepts donations of newspapers, old (but clean) towels and blankets, treats, and toys. Interested volunteers are welcome to visit the shelter and complete an application or email LC4volunteers@co.lucas.oh.us. Monetary donations can be made to Cutie’s Fund via cash, check or PayPal to help pay the costs for the medical needs of the dogs who come into our care.
