The Lucas County Canine Care & Control has many adoptable dogs looking for a good home. The selection of adoptable dogs in our care changes often, so please keep checking back to see our current residents.
You can view dogs available for adoption on our Petfinder page at: Lucas County Canine Care & Control - Adoptable Dogs
Another way to find available dogs is the petharbor.com website (search by city to find a complete list).
You can also just stop on down and see the great dogs we have available for yourself. You can spend some time getting to know them and we hope you’ll find the perfect match.
Once you find a dog you are interested in adding to your family we will ask you to fill out a simple application. We strongly encourage every adopter to bring in all family members, both human and canine, to meet the new potential dog before finalizing the adoption.
All dogs are spayed or neutered before going to their new homes and all have had a behavioral evaluation, a medical evaluation including a heartworm test if over six months old, vaccines (dhlpp, bordetella and rabies, if old enough), a microchip and are wormed. All of this, plus a dog license, will be yours for the adoption fee of only $125.
